All the entries will be available on the MASCA page for people to view and vote on the winner for each category. However the judges will also pick an overall winner for the main prize.
Entries must be appropriate in nature and MASCA reserves the right to remove entries which are deemed inappropriate or offensive.
Entries must be of the entrant’s own work and winners will need to provide proof of originality.
Photos should be provided as a high quality JPG or PNG file.
Photos should not have watermarks present as they cannot be judged anonymously.
MASCA reserves the right to publish the works of all entrants and they will be publicly available for viewing on the MASCA Facebook page and may be used by MASCA, affiliates and sponsors for future promotions
Each entrant is able to enter a maximum of 2 photos per category
Each entrant is only able to win one of the two categories via general voting.

Entrants will need to record a 5 minutes maximum video of them either singing, dancing or any other forms of art which embody the Malaysian spirit, this is open to the entrant’s interpretation.

Can I join both competitions?
Yes, you can as long as you are a Malaysian student studying in Australia.
What is the theme of the event?
The theme of both the photography and video competition is Malaysiaku.
What is the submission format?
For the photography competition please upload a high quality .JPG or .PNG file and provide to the Google Form before the entry closing date (link available on masca.org.au). The same procedure is in place for the video competition with .MP4 format. In a case on a very large file, for those with problems uploading to the Google Form the entry can be sent through Google Drive link to the corresponding MASCA Facebook as per attached at the end of this document.
I've flown back to Malaysia, am I still eligible to win the prizes?
The prize will be in the form of a VISA Gift Card. Which could be used in both Australia and Malaysia.
When is the submission deadline?
The deadline is strictly on 11:59 PM (AEST) on the 19th September 2020. Late submission will not be entertained.
How many entries can I submit in total?
Maximum of 2 photos per category (for a maximum of 4 across both) and 1 for the video competition
Does the photo have to be taken recently?
No. It can be taken at any time as long as they meet our other eligibility criteria.
When will the prizes be announced?
They will be announced during the event, so tune in to the event!
How can I prove that the photo taken is mine?
For entrants with .RAW files or metadata for their entries that is sufficient. Otherwise, we will be sorting through the files to check if any are from but not limited to Google, Flickr etc.
How long should the video be?
The video should be no more than 5 minutes in duration. Any entries over this limit will be disqualified.
Can I submit my submission on TikTok?
Absolutely! We accept submissions on TikTok - keep it creative!
