To develop Malaysian students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and character to become the leaders of tomorrow.
Carrying the Spirit of Malaysia Down Under
The Malaysian Students' Council of Australia — independent, non-profit, and non-partisan — is the peak representative body of Malaysian students in Australia. This is who we are, and why we're here.
Twenty-five years of making a big country feel smaller
From one council in 2001 to a family across seven states and territories.
Established in 2001, the Malaysian Students’ Council of Australia (MASCA), or Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Malaysia di Australia, is an independent, non-profit and non-partisan organisation that serves as the peak representative body of Malaysian students in Australia, officially recognised by Education Malaysia Australia (EMA).
Through our network of affiliated Malaysian Student Organisations (MSOs) spanning 7 states and territories, we support students in their professional development, advocate for their welfare, and unite the community to celebrate the Spirit of Malaysia Down Under.
Three pillars, one home away from home
Every MASCA initiative stands on one of three pillars — each with its own mission, all carrying the same spirit.
To facilitate the interaction and unification of Malaysian students across different backgrounds, faiths, and beliefs.
Anchored in three I’s
As ambassadors of Malaysia in Australia, we carry our nation’s spirit by anchoring every decision, event, and initiative in three core values:
- 01Inclusivity
To ensure every Malaysian student feels welcomed, valued, and connected.
- 02Integrity
To serve our community with transparency, accountability, and honesty.
- 03Impact
To create positive and meaningful change for our community.
The spirit travels with its people.
